Pasquale FIORE (1837-1914), italienischer Jurist und bedeutende Kapazität auf dem Gebiet des Internationalen Rechts und Internatuionalen Privatrechts, studierte Rechtswissenschaften in Urbino, Pisa und schlielich Turin. Für kurze Zeit lehrte er Philosophie an der Universität Cremona, bevor er 1863 außerordentlicher Professor in Urbino. Später nahm er einen Ruf als ordentlicher Professor for vergleichendes Privatrecht an den Universitäten Pisa und Turin und schließlich ab 1881 von Neapel an und wurde Mitglied des Instituts für Internationales Recht. Europäische Dimension erfuhr das Werk durch seine französische Übersetzung im Jahre 1875. Zwanzig Jahre später kam in Paris eine zweite Auflage heraus, die nunmehr ein umfangreiches Handbuch zum IPR zur Folge hatte. P.
